Kondinin Wind and Solar Farm - 200MW
The project has received necessary Local, State and Federal Government approvals to construct:
- up to 46 wind turbines with a power output over 150 MW,
- up to 50 MW of solar power, and
- battery energy storage.
The Kondinin Wind and Solar Farm project is located 250 km east of Perth, within close proximity of the Kondinin 220kV/132kV substation. Power produced by the project would flow to this substation and then into the Western Power network.
Lacour Energy selected this project site and initiated the development after an extensive site identification study across south-west Western Australia. Lacour have undertaken feasibility including: wind and solar resource assessments, environmental assessments, landowner agreements, network connection, layout design, development approval preparation, regulator consultation and community consultation.
Lacour Energy has partnered with Goldwind Australia to deliver the Project. Goldwind will supply wind turbines to the project and manage construction works. A main contractor (Balance of Plant) will be appointed to manage the civil and electrical works for the project.
Lacour and Goldwind are aiming to begin construction of the project in late 2020.
